Placeholders and dentures for children
Sadly, we sometimes need to extract milk teeth. For example, milk teeth need to be extracted when an abscess develops on the damaged tooth. This is caused by a purulent inflammation at the tip of the root which is trying to spread outwards. It is no longer possible to save these teeth.
The resulting gap must be kept open so that there is enough room for adult teeth to come through. By keeping the hole open, we can make place for new teeth to come through.
Plastic teeth can also be positioned here as placeholders, especially in cases where the patient has lost several front teeth. This leaves enough space for their adult teeth. The appearance of a complete set of teeth is just as important here. The child also benefits with clear pronunciation (phonetics), which is often impaired by gaps in the teeth
