Well-protected milk teeth and fissures
The grooves and fissures of the front and back teeth are often shaped in a way that makes it difficult for the bristles of the toothbrush to reach and to clean them properly. As a result, bacteria can settle in the grooves and fissures. This often leads to what we call “fissure caries” in children. To avoid this, we advise that you have the fissures sealed with a thin, light-curing resin. This will serve to prevent bacterial colonisation. We also recommend that children have their milk teeth sealed in such instances.
